    BROWSE OUR PUBS, FIND ONE YOU LOVE

    We have a collection of beautiful and characterful pubs and inns, from small community local pubs to large destination inns with accommodation. If you don’t immediately find a pub you love, don’t worry, we are purchasing new pubs and existing pubs become available, so leave your details with us and we’ll keep you informed of new opportunities.

  • 2 Meet with us

    GET TO KNOW YOUR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

    Our chance to get to know you a little better and really understand what you’re looking for and where your talents lie. At this stage you will have your chance to get more detail about specific pubs you may be interested in and to hear more about our agreements and support structure. We also encourage potential licensees to attend our Retail Academy workshops where you can meet the whole JW Lees support team and learn all the essentials of operating a great pub business.

  • 3 Business Planning

    CRAFT YOUR FUTURE WITH A BUSINESS PLAN

    Once you have visited and decided on your perfect pub, we will ask you to complete a business plan so that you can determine how you will make it a roaring success. We will ask you to use one of our nominated accountants who will help you with your plan (if you wish) and future accounting needs. Your business plan should describe how you intend to operate the pub - your vision!

  • 4 Sign Contracts

    REVIEW YOUR PLAN AND SIGN CONTRACTS

    Your Business Development Manager will review your business plan with you and provide feedback, help and advice. Agree your rent, training plan, ingoing costs, and timescales with your Business Development Manager and and then meet for one final sign-off before you’re officially running the pub.

  • 5 Pick up your keys

    START YOUR STORY WITH OUR SUPPORT

    Pick up your keys and start doing something you love. We’re a family business so you’re not on your own, there are plenty of us to offer support. Our Business Development Managers have fewer pubs than most Pub.Cos, so they have more time to spend with you. We have teams at Greengate Brewery, from Tech Services to Marketing, providing services that will help your pub flourish. Don’t forget we’re always just at the end of the phone.

Retail Academy

RETAIL ACADEMY RISE TO THE TOP WITH JWLEES

The retail academy is a 3 day training course to support your success and provide you with the essentials required to run your own pub business.

Our Academy has been designed specifically for JW Lees licensees and is delivered through both online courses and face-to-face practical training. It covers topics from finance to cellar management, menu design to maximising profit.
Also available is range of optional compliance training for you and your staff to ensure you trade safely and legally. These courses cover subjects such as health & safety, allergen awareness and age verification.
